Observational Drawing 001 -

Here was a quick 5 minute drawing of a small orange on my desk, the task was to not blend but to shade by cross hatching, something I struggle with. I need more of an understanding of how to overlap cross hatching without making it look messy and just scribbles. I tried very hard not to blend either but it was unavoidable and can be clearly seen! I struggled to so show textured of the orange skin which makes this piece look like a ball with hair sticking out. 😬
